* (and again) Collectives/studios are important. Different people together doing different things
* Get a bit of a relationship going (with bookstores etc)
* Get things out there so people can discover it by themselves
* It's not that difficult to make your wacky ideas happen
* Think of yourself as a business if you want to make an income
* Sometime you don't get paid, even for big things as the Guardian - but it's a massive advert and you can do what you want
* Make a living with illustration: it's a gift and it's a gift to be shared
* Be friendly, talk to a lot of people (random guy on train = art director at Tate)
