A while ago we did a Jack the Ripper tour, not in an actual money costing ghost tour group, but self organised with freshly printed directions and 'fun' facts. It PROBABLY would've been scarier if there was an experienced guide telling us everything but this was fun too. We've been to 4 different places of murder, one more frightning than the other. In general there wasn't a big Jack the Ripper vibe in most places since everything got renewed over the years, obviously. But just the thought that this insane psychopath killed woman in the most horrible ways possible, walked down the same ground I was walking on, was pretty scary. And Whitechapel has got its weird and dodgy places.
Especially the second murder location (where he killed Annie Chapman) was clearly the most famous as there was a photoshoot going on (sort of a skanky and low budget one with a cheap looking woman in furs), and some interview was taking place as well (see below).
There was this one street where all of the houses remained the same as in Jack the Ripper period, I believe it was the street one of the victims lived in (not sure though). We did see a 'professional' Jack the Ripper tour in that street, mainly containing seniors (see below).

Wauw, wij hadden vroeger een playstationspel waar een Jack the Ripper-level in voorkwam, dan moest je rondlopen op al die plaatsen. Dat was mijn lievelingslevel omdat het zo'n mooie en griezelige locatie was.
